PDM0110 - Power Distribution Matrix

The PDM0110 is Euro-card sized power distribution matrix for smooth integration into 19“ racks with a minimum height of 3HU. It can be used for supplying devices under test with electricity of inverted and non-inverted polarity. The matrix-card comprises one SPDT relay (Single Pole Double Throw), 10 SPST relays (Single Pole Single Throw) as well as two DPDT GP signal relays (Double Pole Double Throw). All current and sensor lines can be controlled and switched independently of each other. The maximum switching capacity is 50V DC/AC, 10A or rather 1A.

For current and voltage measurement, a DMM can be connected to the PDM0110, offering separate ranges for high and low currents. The card also comprises an additional channel for either connecting an external power supply or providing an output from the integrated power supply.

The card shows very low current consumption: If all relays are turned off, it only consumes 10mA. If all relays are activated, the current consumption is at most 380mA.

The card is controlled either via HNI bus (High Noise Immunity) to which it is connected by means of an IEC 60 603-13 connector (Harting 09 18 540 6903) or via an NI DIO card.

The PDM0110 provides low switching times of only 10ms including bounce time. Each power relay’s mechanical endurance allows for 30 x 106 switching cycles. Their electrical endurance allows for 7 x 105 switching cycles at a resistor load of 5A.

The mechanical endurance of the signal relays allows for 15 x 106 switching cycles and their electrical endurance comprises 3 x 105 switching cycles at a resistor load of 1A.
