A Successful Partnership for Many Years
Tönisvorst, April 11, 2024/ The experts in test and automation systems, NOFFZ Technologies GmbH, and Hochschule Niederrhein celebrate their longstanding partnership.
What began in 1989 in the basement of Dipl. Ing. Wilfried Noffz’s home has now become one of the top 100 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany – NOFFZ Technologies GmbH. The company develops and manufactures test systems and automation solutions for the entire product development process The company’s test and measurement systems are established in the automotive, telecommunications, entertainment electronics, smart home, and medical sectors. NOFFZ Technologies, headquartered in Tönisvorst, is now present in a total of nine locations in Germany, the USA, China, Mexico, Hungary, and Serbia, and is led by Tobias Noffz, the son of the company’s founder Wilfried Noffz, along with Markus Solbach and Manuel von Helden.
For more than two decades, NOFFZ Technologies has been collaborating with the Hochschule Niederrhein to provide students with a platform to showcase their talents and contribute to hands-on projects. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Dahmen, who has since retired, students have not only acquired, improved, and perfected their academic skills but also gained valuable experiences. These experiences have been immensely valuable not only for their professional development but also for their personal growth.
Today, nearly 30 graduates of HSNR make up the workforce of NOFFZ, which is evidence of the enduring bond between the company and the Hochschule Niederrhein.
On the occasion of the awarding of the current scholarships, not only was a certificate of appreciation presented to NOFFZ Technologies for its repeated support of students at Hochschule Niederrhein, but also the inclusion of former scholarship holders of the Deutschlandstipendium was emphasized, highlighting NOFFZ’s commitment to talent promotion and seamless integration of academics into the industry.
The Deutschlandstipendium is a scholarship initiative supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It provides selected students with a monthly stipend of 300 euros. The funding is split equally between the federal government and a corporate donation. In addition to financial support, participating companies are also expected to provide non-monetary support to scholarship holders. This support offers companies an excellent opportunity for employer branding, as explained by Tobias Noffz in a discussion. A scholarship holder who is already familiar with the company culture and working methods requires no time-consuming training after completing their studies and can transition directly into employment.

Prof. Dr. Dahmen, who facilitated the successful collaboration, is also depicted. The longstanding partnership between him and Wilfried Noffz has always been characterized by mutual trust and respectful interaction. Even today, they meet for friendly conversations at NOFFZ’s new headquarters.
At NOFFZ Technologies, a positive corporate culture is of great importance. As a family-owned company, special emphasis is placed on respect and considerate interaction. Sustainability is also a central aspect actively promoted in all areas. In the summer of 2023, the move to the NOFFZ Campus took place. On a 15,500 square meter plot, a gross floor area of 5,500 square meters was created, providing space for up to 300 employees. The building, which exceeds the highest energy efficiency requirements, symbolizes NOFFZ’s holistic sustainability approach.
For over 25 years, students from Hochschule Niederrhein have had the opportunity to experience and embrace this corporate culture. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and supporting students.
